Teddy Poll Interview and Rehearsal with Singing City

Two-time Singing City Prize for Young Composers winner Teddy Poll, a senior at Columbia University, joined Singing City at a recent rehearsal to conduct the choir in Brahms' Nanie. Teddy is considering a career in conducting/composition. It was a joy to have him conduct and talk a little about his plans for the future.

  1. He's only a senior in college? Wow!

  2. I missed that rehearsal, but I'm so happy I got to watch this. Teddy encompasses so much of why I love teaching music. He is enthusiastic, articulate, confident and passionate. It's refreshing to know that there are young people out there who care, and know how important music is and will continue to be.

  3. How wonderful to see such a young conductor in action! I have known Teddy for years, but I had no idea that he had this outstanding ability to conduct. Truly spectacular.
